The Edible Schoolyard and A Night in the Global Village- Mar 8

I am not sure what all the hype is about The Edible Schoolyard and A Night in the Global Village. To me The Edible Schoolyard is a cool concept but didn't we used to call it Home Economics? As for A Night in the Global Village, I thought it was also a good idea but that is usually something we do at summer camps. I am not sure exactly what the podcast is supposed to do. It's just a video or documentary on the computer. We used to watch them on TV's and slide shows. I guess I am not getting this whole idea.
